This is an original painting by Madison Vermilya, local artist, manager of Ground Gaia, as well as website designer, social media manager and other creative endeavors here at Ground Gaia. This is 11 x 14” painted with watercolors on mixed media paper and framed in a black frame. Madison loves adding different symbolic elements together to create a more surreal piece. The elephant is symbolic of knowledge, wisdom, memories and more. The butterfly is symbolic of transformation and rebirth. The two animals paired together cause make a very powerful symbol of their own. As you look further into the piece you can also see other elements such as lotus flowers, an evil eye, the sun and the moon. This is an original piece so a similar one can be made if requested, but can’t be exactly replicated making each piece unique!
